OMH is a community hospital and community hospitals provide one of the greatest services in the world. That’s why we're proud to talk about all the things Onslow Memorial is doing for the Jacksonville, NC area. From general awareness ads to promotion of service lines to hyper-integrated social media, we make sure the people of Onslow County know what Onslow Memorial is doing to keep their community at its healthiest.
As a community hospital, Onslow Memorial does a lot of good for the area it serves. One of the reasons it can do so is the constant updating of services, technology and staff. Our goal for this general awareness campaign was to let people know we’re there for them, offering a myriad of services to get them well and keep them healthy. Research showed that audiences are numb to traditional doctor and equipment photos, so we mainly focused on trying to tell miniature stories with our photos and follow that up with benefits-driven messaging.
Perhaps you have heard of this thing, content marketing? Saturday was an early adopter of content marketing and more importantly, of its integration into broader initiatives and campaigns.
A striking insight about the Onslow County was that due to the high military presence in the town and the number of service people constantly being deployed, there was a large population of mothers in town with no family or friend support network.
Our series of blogs, “MomTalk,” created an online environment where moms could help moms, and where a sense of community and family could exist for people who needed that for the health and wellbeing of their family.
Separate blogs/pages created for the different age ranges of children tackled a variety of topics moms wanted to hear about.
Health and wellness information, advice and personal stories were blogged about and health professionals were even made accessible to the moms.
The result wasn't just a huge positive bump in website traffic, and improved perception scores for the hospital–it was a bump in a healthier, happier and more informed community.
No man wants a prostate exam. But as our brilliant client said, "At least it's free." We took this insight and ran with it. The results were extraordinary. Who knew prostate humor would resonate so well with men? Oh everybody? Ok.
Humor and health. Maybe it's the reserved nature of the industry and its messaging, but humor seems to really get through to folks in healthcare advertising…and we are willing to do anything to connect with people if it saves a life. Our promotion-based and humor driven mammogram campaign resulted in website traffic increase by over 1,000%, a huge spike in women getting mammograms (the most ever in any October up to that date), earlier detections of cancer, and therefore more improved outcomes. As in, it was the boob joke that saved lives.
NoDa Brewing has now sold over 2 million beers so far and have become one of North Carolina’s fastest growing breweries, as well as one of the top growing breweries in the country. We finessed their brand by honoring the existing loyalty and not giving the brand a total overhaul, but rather a respectable dose of maturity and immaturity so it shines on the shelf and in the bar. By tapping into what we know about craft beer culture, and bringing a worthy personality out to go along with a great tasting beer, we have done more than helped a client be successful. We have done a small part to bring good beer to the world, and that’s a beautiful thing.
NoDa Brewing has become one of the fastest growing breweries in the country. And we’re proud to have played a role in that.
